A bit more about me
And some work from the last 20 years

My career started off out of high school, where I designed and created the production drawings for India's first ultra-cheap prosthetic hand. Think under $10, powered by a cellphone battery. No better introduction to product design, especially to a confused 18-year-old from a town in rural India

Since then, I've designed parts for Volkswagen, imagined how Uber Elevate - their flying car service could work, and built out a 'city - connected' autonomous vehicle service.

And I have been in the fires of an early-stage start-up, designing a knowledge graph platform, and have seen it grow from inception to acquisition.

I've lived in 4 countries for at least 3 years each, I play the drums in a metal band, I like running, cooking, DnD, warhammer and I'm chipping away at my private pilot's license.

CMC - IIT Hand

The goal of this project was to create the design of a simple to use, no-fills and cheap prosthetic arm for the Bio-Engineering Department of the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, India.

Having just finished 12th grade, I was a stranger to the design world. This project showed me the profound impact a simple, cheap product powered by a cellphone battery can have on the recipient's life. Who knew building spaceships in CAD would be a useful skill?

Completed in November 2007.

VW India, sump guard

At Volkswagen, I worked in the Powertrain team designing, prototyping, and testing an oil sump guard—a component whose sole purpose is to survive abuse.

That meant real-world validation across punishing road conditions, not just CAD and simulations. If you’re wondering about the scratches in the photos: those are field-tested credentials. In what other job does intentionally driving a car over rocks to see what breaks count as a productive workday?

This experience cemented my love for automotive design at the intersection of engineering rigor, physical reality, and a very honest feedback loop: if it fails, you’ll hear (and feel) it immediately. Also this saved 3000 vehicles/year from needing engines replaced

Is it a Car? A spaceship? A super wing in ground effect vehicle

Yes. I love me a good speed form.
